Melissa pledged Kappa Upsilon chapter at University of Massachusetts Lowell, Kappa Delta Phi National Affiliated Sorority in the Fall of 1997. Melissa Ann Hubert, 29, died on April 25 at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born on November 7, 1979 in New Jersey, the beloved daughter of Jean (Ettori) and Anthony Saggau. She grew up in Derry, NH and graduated from Pinkerton Academy in 1997. She attended the University of Massachusetts, where she majored in music education and was a member of the Kappa Delta Phi Sorority. Melissa married Christopher Hubert on August 3, 2003 and their son Paxton was born in 2005. She was employed as Associate Director at Little Sprouts Child Education Center in Methuen and was working toward her Early Childhood Education Degree.
Her creative gifts, beautiful smile and kind heart will be greatly missed by family members, including her husband Christopher and her son Paxton of Derry; her mother Jean and stepfather James Ettori of Derry; her father Anthony and stepmother Laura Saggau of Pembroke; her step-siblings Christopher, Jill, and Sarah; Casey, Lea, and Jamie; her aunt Karen and uncle CJ Landsman of Concord; her uncle Karl and aunt Beth Hauschild of Hopkinton; her cousins Corey, Brian and Eric; as well as many members of extended family and close friends. She will be truly missed by all who were fortunate to cross her path in life.
Calling hours will be held from 5 – 8 pm on Friday, May 1st and the funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 2nd at 10 a.m. at Peabody Funeral Home, 15 Birch Street, Derry followed by burial at Forest Hill Cemetery in Derry. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: “Edward Jones Investments” at 31 E. Broadway, Derry, NH 03038 for Paxton’s trust fund.
